Why RetroBoard

I discovered computers in 1985 while serving in the US Army in South Korea, where I learned programming on an IBM XT. After returning home, I dove into PCs, modems, online services, and eventually the BBS world, becoming a regular user and later a sysop of my own board, L00ney T00nes BBS.

Those early online communities shaped both my personal life and my career, leading me into a lifelong path in information technology. Today I work as an IT Systems Analyst, but I still have a deep appreciation for the smaller, more personal online spaces that BBSs represented.

This board is part nostalgia, part hobby, and part belief that smaller communities often make for a better online experience.
